Holland is excited to be raising funds for a new marquee and a shade structure for the intermediate playground and we need your help!
We are one of only a small handful of schools in the district that still has the original “old school” marquee and it is falling apart! The door falls off when it is opened to replace the informational lettering. A new, digital marquee will allow for real-time safety informational changes to be made (such as for a bad weather or lightening dismissal), could display more information by scrolling through multiple screens, and would save staff and volunteer time of changing the marquee by hand.
Additionally, the shade structure will be a huge improvement to the intermediate playground, which currently does not have a proper area for students to take a break in the shade. We all know that most of the year is hot and sunny in Florida, and a shade structure will be much appreciated by students and staff alike.
