Unterstützung für eine Familie aus Gaza in Wien

Wir sind Unterstützer*innen, die Spenden sammeln für Areej, Alma (9) und Lamia (6 Jahre alt), die gerade aus Gaza nach Österreich evakuiert werden. Ihr Haus im Norden Gazas wurde durch den Krieg zerstört und sie sind nach Rafah geflohen, wo sie die letzten zwei Monate verbracht haben in einer Notunterkunft mit mehreren Familien auf engstem Raum. Die Bedingungen, in denen sie sich Befinden sind sehr schwer. Sie hatten in den vergangenen Tagen kaum etwas zu essen, während die Wasserversorgung kaum funktionierte. Als sie aus ihrem Haus im Norden des Gazastreifens geflohen sind, haben sie nur ihre Dokumente und die Kleider die sie trugen mitgenommen.

In den kommenden Tagen soll ihre Evakuierung aus Gaza stattfinden. Sobald sie in Wien ankommen, wird medizinische Betreuung wichtig sein. Der Familienvater, der in Wien lebt sucht eine Wohnung für die Familie und wir wollen finanzielle Unterstützung sammeln für die Kosten der Kaution, für eine „Erstausstattung“ und Kleidung. Die gesammelten Spenden gehen für diesen Zweck direkt an die Familie.

We are supporters from Austria/Vienna, who are raising funds for Areej, Alma (9 years old) and Lamia (6 years old) who are currently still in Gaza and will be evacuated to Austria in the coming days. The house they lived in was destroyed through the war and they fled to Rafah where they have been for two months now. The conditions they are living in currently are very harsh. They are living together with several other families who fled to the South in a very confined space and currently have to spend days without food, while the distribution of water is non-functioning. When they fled their house in the North of Gaza, they only took their documents and the clothes they wore with them.

They are currently waiting for their evacuation which should take place in the coming days. Once they arrive in Vienna, medical care will be important and the husband/father who lives in Austria is looking for a flat in Vienna. We are trying to raise financial support for the fees of the deposit as well as basic furniture and clothes in Austria. The money raised will be directly given to them for this purpose.
