Hello, Generally, I hate asking others for help. Unfortunately I’m in a situation where I need to ask for help of those who might have the ability and kindness to do so. My mother has been sick for a while now and I had hope to visit her during my companies Christmas break so I didn’t miss work and could save money to actually go. Unfortunately I don’t have that long. Her liver is falling her and now her other organs are starting to fail her. They said the only thing they could advise at this point is hospice. She hasn’t been able to stay out of the hospital for more than a few days at a time. I haven’t seen her in over five years. She’s in Virginia. I can’t afford to go. I can’t afford to miss work. But I need to see her and hug her one last time before she passes. Which doesn’t seem so far away. So I’m asking for enough to visit her for a few weeks or how ever long she has. I’m asking enough to not lose my apartment while I’m on unpaid leave of absence while I go spend time with her. I appreciate whatever anyone can help with.
