Speed Humps for Lichfield Rd

Dear Concerned Neighbor,
We, a small group of fathers on Lichfield Road in Greenacres are asking for your help to install a speed hump on Lichfield, between Bloomfield and Pembroke.
Lichfield Road connects Pembroke to 8 Mile, with all cross streets dead ending, which makes it a fast route for getting into and out of the neighborhood. Problem is, some citizens like to abuse it.
There is essentially no stopping at the stop sign at Lichfield and Bloomfield, an area where many children gather and play on a daily basis.
In addition to outside traffic, we also have speeding issues with members of our own community using the stretch to race their motorcycles and cars at high speeds.
There are countless small children in this community, and several in the area we are trying to protect.
We have communicated with our local representatives. We have communicated with our District Manager. We have communicated with our community officer. We have raised our voices in forums online and in person. It is clear that no one is going to install a speed hump on Lichfield unless it is us.
Many other areas have speed humps. Ferndale, Sherwood Forest, Bagley and others. We ask for your help in keeping our children safe.
Any funds raised above the material costs will be put towards another speed hump between Bloomfield and Norfolk.
