Special Needs school in Ghana

Hi, my name is Daniela and I am fulfilling my dream of volunteering in Ghana. I come from The Czech Republic and about 25 years ago I interviewed with a charity running projects in Ghana. I was advised to go to London and improve my English… as it happened instead of returning and travelling I ended up married to a great Belgian man and had 2 children in the UK. Alongside that I have developed my career, pursuing my vocation of SEN teacher- my love and passion. This year me and my husband are finally going to Ghana and by a destiny or fortune I will have the privilege to be supporting and sharing my expertise with one of the few SEN schools there!! The staff have wonderful ideas and try to focus on vocational training, e.g hairdressing, sewing, gardening etc. Funds are very limited so I am trying to bring as many resources I can think of but I would also love to raise money to buy items there, such as gardening and decorating tools and sewing machines.

I would appreciate any support, however small it may be.

for £3 we can buy a set of pens, pencils and other stationary items, hairstyling accessories for training

for £5 we can get puzzles, games, book or few sets of gardening gloves

for £10 we can buy gardening tools or paint brushes for practice

for £15-20 we can purchase hair dryers to learn more hairdressing skills

starting at £70 we can source new sewing machines
