Dear Potential Donor,

On behalf of the Executive and Membership of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #118 in North Vancouver, I am writing to respectfully request your financial support with an urgent matter affecting our branch.

For over 95 years, Branch #118 has served veterans, their families, and the North Vancouver community. Our Branch has been a place of Remembrance, camaraderie, and support, and we are proud of our demonstrated history of contributing to local initiatives, charitable causes, and other community programs. A summary of these contributions is enclosed for your review.

We now face a serious challenge. Our Strata Corporation has imposed a mandatory special building levy totalling $345,594, payable in two instalments by September 1, 2026, and December 1, 2026. This levy is required for essential building envelope and parking slab repairs and is a legal obligation we must meet. Failure to do so puts our premises, and our ability to continue supporting Veterans and our community, in jeopardy.

While our day-to-day operations are sustainable, we do not have the capital to absorb a one-time cost of this size. To meet this challenge without disrupting our services, we are reaching out to local businesses like yours for help.

We would be deeply grateful if you would consider making a financial contribution towards this levy. Donations of any size will directly help to:

1. Preserve a long-standing community institution in North Vancouver

2. Ensure continued support and services for Veterans and their families

3. Sustain our contributions to local charities and community programs
