Hi! If you haven’t heard of us yet, my name is Amanda and I funded this wonderful organization called the Special Gifts of Happiness. I am happy to say we are back this year for a third consecutive year and this all thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers and donors. During the last two Christmases, we gifted over 400 gifts to low-income old folks homes. This year, we are back and we’ve decided to continue the Christmas joy and we reached out to the organization called le Refuge des jeunes de Montreal. This organization homes permanently over 20 young teen boys between the ages of 15 and 25, and they also provide sleeping arrangement/hot meals on a daily badis for over 50 other young boys. These teens have spent time in shelters, have been homeless & some may have also recovered from addictions or other issues. They are there because they have no where else to go and want to get back on their feet. Le Refuge provides them a home and on Christmas Eve, they all get together over 60 teen boys, and using the funds the Refuge has collected over the past year, they prepare a Christmas feast. They also try to get them small gifts but often don’t raise enough money or they don’t want to cut on essentials such a food for the evening. Well this is where we come in! We want to be able to offer them each a perfect Christmas gift! In order to do so, we need to raise 4500$ in order to provide them a 75$ gift each which will include: a Cineplex movie gift certificate, a hoodie, a gift card from Tim Hortons/Mcdonald’s & a personal item(sock, colon, etc.).

Last year we raised 5000$!! I’m convinced we can do the same this year! ❤️ Funds will be collected until Dec 17th!
