Special Forces performance submission to Worlds
Special Forces, a 12 member team of special needs cheerleaders, is heading to Orlando to compete on a national stage in the World Cheerleading Championships. They will be competing in the Cheer-Abilities Elite division. Based out of Matawan, NJ gym, Cheer Dream Xplosion, this talented group is 1 of only 5 teams selected from around the globe and the first team ever selected from Central Jersey.
The Special Forces squad provides more opportunities for these athletes with disabilities to participate in an environment with high expectations and competition standards. Cheer Dream Xplosion has been providing a cheerleading "home" for these athletes for 8 years. The program was started through a non profit organization, Cheer Dream Scoliosis Foundation. The initial program had 2 athletes and has expanded to 2 cheer abilities teams, including an Exhibition and Elite team.
This team works hard everyday to overcome their challenges and reach their goals on this team and in life. We are so excited this team of athletes will have this amazing opportunity! Your generosity will help make their dreams come true and alleviate some of the financial stress on these families.
