Hello, my name is Sam. I am a Malaysian/Singaporean residing in Sweden. Our Indonesian friends need help.
In light of the recent decline in Indonesia's economy and civil unrest, the South East Asian community has shown solidarity in donating meals through Grab or Gojek. However, small businesses continue to fall through the crack as these shop owners may not have the funds or know-how to make their businesses discoverable online. We are here to help.
To start off, every EUR/USD counts. 1 USD = provide 1 full meal for a person.
Our process: Sourcing for sole proprietors or small businesses through Threads and word of mouth, we partner with shops. First, we raise funds. Then we distribute it all over towns: taxi drivers (Blue Bird), mosques, markets, orphanages, street cleaners and persons who may know have homes to return to. We fully rely and trust our local partners to know what's best for the city. We also vet our shops and ensure they give to communities on the ground through proper documentation e.g. photo evidences. We currently work with kitchens and serve communities in Surabaya and Kalimantan.
Every dollar goes to local communities in Indonesia. We earn no profit from this initiative.
Let's stand in solidarity with Indonesians. #resetIndonesia
