We are the Southern Downs Voice Against Pikedale Wind Farm - a grassroots coalition of local residents, farmers and concerned citizens standing together to protect our community, our wildlife and our way of life from the proposed Pikedale Wind Farm.
Why We're Taking a Stand...
The Pikedale Wind Farm proposal threatens to irreversibly alter the Southern Downs landscape. This industrial-scale development would:
- Fragment critical habitat for endangered species like the Spotted-tailed Quoll and Glossy Black Cockatoo.
- Disrupt rural schools and roads with heavy construction traffic
- Introduce microplastic pollution and fire risks to pristine bushland.
- Divide close-knit communities through opaque consultation processes.
We believe in renewable energy done right - with Transparency, Accountability and Respect for People and Place. This project FAILS that test.
What We're Raising Funds For:
To make our voices heard, we need to reach every corner of our region. Your donation will help us:
