South Mountain Reservation Eagle Scout Project

Every time it rains in South Orange, the Wildflower and Forest reserve -- a trail in the South Mountain Reservation by the dog park -- floods and becomes dangerous to travel.  These trails are very popular year round, especially now given the COVID-19 Pandemic. Artwork is featured throughout the trail, and the South Mountain Conservancy is considering establishing an interpretive trail throughout the reserve, but the issue of flooding still stands in the way. To help remedy this issue I am planning on building twenty bog bridges throughout the reserve with the help of fellow scouts from Troop 17. All Funds will go towards purchasing materials and supplies for this project. Thank you for your support in maintaining and improving the South Mountain Reservation.
