South County Rising is an inclusive Rhode Island community of progressive voices that champion liberty and fight to preserve democracy for all.

Since the 2025 Inauguration the new Administration has acted illegally and unconstitutionally to weaken our republic, the United States of America. The DOGE firings and Federal Agency shut downs spurred our first peaceful protest, "March 4th for Democracy." Organizers emerged from this initial gathering to lead the organization through an evolution to South County Rising: Resisting Autocracy. Reforming Democracy.

We want our voices to be heard as part of a growing national pushback, as we remain grassroots, not funded by billionaires or corporate donations. The original organizers chipped in to fund the things needed to get established. Now we are asking for your support to continue to spread the word and hold peaceful events of legal dissent.
