Soumah Family
Donation protected
This family has lost their mom due to breast cancer after fighting the disease for 4 years. This family of 6 children range in age from 22-4 and live in a townhome in Sartell. The Soumah family has been trying hard to make ends meet however that has been left up to the eldest sister Raby (22). She works a job that pays her $10 per hour and trying to provide for the family of 6. The rent alone where they live is $800.00/month and the struggle is real on a daily basis. Recently the Sartell Community came together and did a fundraiser at House of Pizza in Sartell and was able to help raise $500. The parties that came to this event kept asking how else could they help or is there a place we could make a donation.
We decided to set up this go fund me page to help the family.
Raby 22 and is the head of the household.
Ouceny is 18 graduating this year and has earned a scholarship to continue playing soccer in Chicago Illinois.
Mahmoud is 16 and is in school at Sartell High School.
Mamet is 15 and is in school at Sartell High School.
Mohamed is 9 and at Pine Meadow.
Ibrahim is 4 and at Head Start for care during the day.
This family has a 2004 vehicle with issues and is not reliable, Raby stated that her first priority would be to try and get a more reliable vehicle to drive and she is trying to determine after the rent of $800 per month and other daily expenses what she has left.
Raby is still trying to pay for the funeral expenses of $5500.00.
Raby being the sole provider with the help of her siblings on daily tasks struggles to make ends meet. Raby works as an account manager helping others and being creative on their life struggles all while struggling herself. When I asked her how that made her feel she said "I get pleasure out of helping others, they do not need to know that we are struggling too, helping others to break bread even though we cannot break bread that part does not need to be known". If someone needs bread you give them bread, that is what I am teaching my siblings to do and something my mom taught us. My mom liked helping others anyway she could and she passed that onto me and my siblings.
Their mom NANA struggled with breast cancer stage 4 for 4 years until her kidneys and liver shut down ending her life. This family of 7 is now down the sole provider of the family and left as a family of 6. Nana was diagnosed with breast cancer after the birth of Ibrahim. The family had to figure out how to use the finances that were available to them (left in the bank account) and that money was used for a loan that their mom had taken out, they are now left with no money in the bank account. This family did not ask for this page to be set up, this family is grateful for ANY support that you are willing to give.
Please help us raise funds for this struggling family of 6 siblings after the loss of their mom Nana and her fight to breast cancer.
