El Salvador, a country that pulsates with life yet struggles under the weight of healthcare and adequacies, has become our chosen field of service service. This choice was inspired by our esteemed colleague, Dr. Roberto Arevalo-Araujo, whose insights into the country’s healthcare challenges have deeply moved us. Over 14 years, our bond with this nation has only deepened, driven by our shared vision with the local communities and leaders to forge path toward sustainable health and well-being for all. 

Despite facing the aftermath of wars, economic, downturns, and natural calamities, the indomitable spirit of the Salvadoran people to create a brighter. Future is all inspiring. Yet, the path to progress is fraught with challenges, notably and healthcare, where basic elements can de rail lives and dreams.

Since 2003, MMI‘s dedicated focus on El Salvador has led to remarkable achievements. We have an augur rated a state of the art, medical center in Jucuapa, enhanced medical facilities across several communities, and supported education through the establishment of a high school that nurture young talent. These milestones are testaments to our commitment, but also a reminder of the journey ahead.

On April 6, 2024, our team of 10 altruistic medical professionals is set to embark on this vital mission. Their goal is clear: to operate, two fully equipped, operating rooms, providing free, life-altering surgeries to families who have been deprived of basic healthcare.
