SOS ... SAVE OUR STATION

Angel Radio has been broadcasting Nostalgic Music and Memories to tens of thousands of listeners for the past years. We have won many awards for our unique work - Here are a few of the things Angel Radio does for its listeners -

We provide entertaining and uplifting speech and music 24 hours a day of direct relevance to older persons.

We promote health and well-being of older persons.

We promote reminiscence therapy for those suffering memory loss.

We affirm that older persons are still a valuable and valued part of society.

We enable older persons to have access to a radio station that understands them, treats them respectfully, and is sympathetic to their situation.

We enable listeners to request records from the years 1900-1969 which are unavailable on any other radio station locally or nationally.

We offer support in bereavement. To enable those suffering loss of a loved one to share their burden.

We provide charities, offering help and advice to older persons, with a central point of information distribution and exchange.

We provide work experience in radio production and presentation for older persons.

We help to remove the sense of isolation felt by those who are house-bound.

We provide a friendly night-time programme service for those who cannot sleep and are feeling lonely.

We promote the talents of older people and allow these talents to be acknowledged by a wide audience.

ANGEL RADIO DOES ALL THIS .... but now we face a financial crisis. Our funding is at an all-time low and we face the stark reality that we may have to close. We have already made cutbacks in the areas of the UK that our transmitters cover. At the beginning of 2024 Angel Radio broadcast on over 40 transmitters reaching a huge older audience. Following cutbacks we now broadcast on less than a dozen transmitters. Listeners, who have listened to Angel Radio for many years, say they have effectively lost a member of the family.

So please, if you can help to keep our wonderful, totally unique, Angel Radio on-air, do so before it's too late.
