Sophie's Farm Devastated by Flood

Donation protected

On November 21, flash floods erupted in Northern Samar province in the Philippines. These floods destroyed agriculture and infrastructure in various communities, including Sophie's Farm. Residents were forced to evacuate as floodwaters rose to alarming levels, impacting over 8,500 families. Roads were impassable, and flooding reached up to 6 feet.
Sophie’s Farm is run by the Religious of the Sacred Heart where volunteers and local families grow and sell vegetables to support the needs of the surrounding impoverished
communities. It is located in Mondragon, Northern Samar, which has one of the highest poverty rates in the Philippines. Convent & Stuart Hall students together with faculty and staff traveled to Sophie's Farm during the February break.
Sophie's Farm crucially needs your support during this devastating time. Every donation matters–proceeds will directly go to funding infrastructure repair for Sophie's Farm.
We ask you to help make a difference and bring hope to the Sophie's Farm community. Your generous donation towards our $5,000 goal between now and December 31 will help uplift their spirit and provide food on their table during this difficult time. Thank you very much for opening your hearts.
