Hello!

Welcome to our fundraiser page for Trans Pride Brighton & Hove! As many of you are aware, Sophie & myself have had a rather busy year, which we have enjoyed alongside many of our friends, family & loved ones.

Many of you will be joining us in June for a party to celebrate getting Civil Partnered (civvy P'd/CP'd) and have wanted to offer a gift/gesture to us both. As we have everything and more than we need, we are welcoming folks to donate to a charity that means a lot to us both - Trans Pride Brighton & Hove - a volunteer-led event we've been attending for several years and I continue to support.

Every year Trans Pride welcomes over 30,000+ trans, non-binary and intersex community members, their loved ones and allies to Brighton & Hove. Beyond their huge annual protest march, they run several event spaces to accommodate picnics, community stalls and performances - a vital and rare opportunity to come together and recharge. Outside of this central event which runs off of the generosity of donations and 120+ volunteers, they also host the Trans Pride Centre - a small but sacred safe space in central Brighton. You can see their breakdown of costs in the images attached.

The main event this year (19th July - do come!) faces rising costs, after what has arguably been one of our communities most challenging years. Having worked in community space for 12+ years, I can say this event is needed more than ever, and everything raised will certainly go towards supporting a fantastic grassroots team, with an exceptional cause.

If you would rather donate in person and/or another way, that is of course an option. You can also volunteer for the event and have an AMAZING day, and/or join us in attending. Let us know if you need a bed up the road....We're aware many of you are spending lots attending/joining us, so please do not feel obliged - your solidarity is felt and appreciated regardless <3
