Hello family and friends,
First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone can spend this holiday season with those you hold dear and closest to your heart. This is the time of year when I know many of you are in a position to share your gratitude and love for those less fortunate. I hope you all find it in your hearts to give, even though these past few years were the hardest due to the pandemic.
I have a childhood friend I spent many years watching growing up, and she is now raising her own little family. It has been difficult for me to learn that she, her husband, and her six-month-old baby are in need. Sophia and her husband had previously lost both of their jobs. This unforeseen event left them sleeping between shelters, in their vehicle, and temporarily in the homes of people who had welcomed them with open arms (even if for a short while).
The money being raised will go towards helping them get back on their feet. Jared started work this past Monday and will see an entire paycheck in the upcoming weeks. They hope to get an apartment as soon as they can prove proof of income should the odds work out in their favor.
We are hoping to raise enough money to cover the cost of the hotel, baby formula, diaper, baby wipes, baby food pouches, gas, and, more importantly, food in general.
I have set the goal at $3,000, but any amount will significantly impact Sophia Sittman and her family.
I love you all with the deepest and utmost gratitude,
Mary Williams
