Saving Souls with Rock and Roll -- Please support Rock to Recovery
Rock to Recovery, a music-based program, which I serve as Brand Ambassador and Program Administrator, is standing in the breach. We are frontline mental health workers who go in person and online to addiction treatment and mental health facilities to give people hope by writing songs. We work with NON-musicians, to write songs about what's hurting us. I get to watch people rebuild their lives, overcoming substance abuse, PTSD, and mental health issues.
People are hurting. Millions are out of work. There are long lines at food pantries. We are divided and beleaguered.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to hold our benefit concert this year, which fully funds our nonprofit work.
We have 19 nonprofit partners, half of which pay nothing for our services. Most others pay reduced rates. Not only have we continued providing our program to these groups, we’re also offering four weekly programs to the general public, on a “pay-what-you-will” basis. Due to the pandemic, we are giving away more services than ever before.
Check out this song/video I wrote and recorded with one of our Air Force Wounded Warriors-
The need is great. Youth. Veterans. Mothers. So many people want to join us.
As the need for our services has grown, our ability to raise money has diminished. We weren't able to hold our annual fundraiser at The Fonda this year, which accounts for 98% of the donations we receive to fund our partnerships with facilities that cannot pay for our services. These shows are super rad and we've honored Corey Taylor, Katey Sagal, Moby, Mike Ness, John Feldmann, Tommy Vext, and Wayne Kramer!
We have a wait list of organizations that would love to receive our services, so...
We need your help!
Quarantine and the stress of Covid-19 is projected to worsen over the coming months. Please donate to bring the healing power of music to our youth, veterans, and those overcoming addiction or mental health issues. Your donations will quite literally saves lives!
Thank you so much. And, remember...
YOU'RE RAD!
