Latest update: We are working with a contractor to get this work done. He will get back to us at the end of the week to provide final cost. Prayers would be appreciated.
At this giving time of the year, we have a need to bring to your attention that we believe you will want to support.
Sonia’s husband Barry tragically took his life in November of 2018 - a year ago this week. He left behind a wife, Sonia, and two little ones, Isabella (7 yrs.) and George (5 yrs.)
Due to the dire financial straits Sonia is in (she is living on social security), she needs our help. She has received nothing from the sale of their home on Summit. The only remaining asset left to her is a cabin in Lake County. This asset is now in legal jeopardy due to a suit brought on by her neighbors who want a boat port (and concrete pad) removed which Barry constructed. Sonia has a law firm, to defend the case pro bono.
It turns out that this is going to be quite expensive mainly due to the high cost of removing and disposing of the concrete. The neighbors have agreed to provide some funds for the boat port removal, but she is still thousands of dollars short. She has no means of paying for this.
Sonia needs help to close the gap on this cost. She cannot afford to pay for the work herself and support her two children.
On behalf of Sonia, we are asking for $8,000. We would be very grateful if you would consider a donation so she can pay this bill. Your donation will go to help pay for the boatport removal. The excess raised, if any, will be set aside for the care and welfare of Barry’s two young children.
Any financial assistance, no matter how small, will be sincerely, humbly and gratefully received.
Thank you for taking the time to read Sonia’s story.
