SOMOS is an invention centre. It is a place where you invent your vision and then live it in reality, with radical responsibility. It is a space to become who you truly are and live without limits.

It starts with healing. At SOMOS there are spaceholders with more than 20 years of experience in healing work. Here you can heal childhood experiences that shaped your survival strategies — strategies that influenced your thoughts, decisions and actions, and probably still do today.

However, what we have discovered is that healing alone is not enough for you to live FULL OUT. So once you have healed… then what?

What we discovered is this: when you have healed enough to make space for your Being, you suddenly have more space and more will to create. To create who you want to be. To create the life you want. To live the mission you feel called to. To be of service to others and to Gaia.

You begin to care more about the world and what is happening to it. And now you have more inner resources to actually do something about it.

This is what we are doing at SOMOS. We hold space for people to become the Change-Makers of the future — for humanity and for Gaia. This is the project you are supporting when you donate to SOMOS.

In addition, SOMOS is here for Gaia. We are learning how to be with her not just sustainably, but regeneratively. Not simply to slow down her dying — as we see happening now — but to support her evolution.

We are discovering that in collaboration with Gaia, humans become even more creative. We have ongoing projects exploring this evolution for humanity and Earth. By supporting SOMOS, you are also supporting this work.

This means SOMOS is not only an invention centre for cultures that thrive, but also a place where people become ripples, creating Change-Makers all over the world.

For example, a community that wanted to live in a new culture came to our trainings because of conflict within their group. Through the trainings and their time at SOMOS, they are now becoming a thriving sister village in Tenerife and are delivering their own trainings on conflict resolution for other communities.

Several people who trained at SOMOS are now offering their own trainings and opening doors for Change-Makers in every continent.

Imagine landing on a new planet, there is no society yet, what culture would you create if you got to start over?

If you had unlimited resources and no emotional fears, how would you choose to live? What drives you? What lights you up really, once you get bored of sex, drugs and rock and roll? What stops you from living full-out now? Are you aware those are all excuses and not real limitations? That the only thing in your way is you?

SOMOS is the research laboratory and playground to ask all these questions, to do weird experiments, to go ‘insane’, to explore new ways of learning where there is no right answer, just actions and results, just exploration and discovery.

SOMOS is a team of crazy explorer friends who know that something else is possible right now than the linear life menu offered by the ecocidal capitalistic patriarchal empire or the love and light fantasy world sold at a high price by 'enlightened' instagrammers - and we are proving it!

We are not saying we have it all figured out, that is the point! Once you think you know, then it’s game over, goodbye new possibilities. SOMOS is about trying stuff, making messes, asking questions that we never asked before, calling each other out on our bulshit, admitting we have no clue what we are doing, pulling apart social norms that don’t serve us and feeling the fear of going outside our comfort zones and doing something different.

We are continually learning how to be with Gaia, how to collaborate with her. We don’t do it perfectly and are far from being self-sustainable. We do use recycled or local items wherever we can and we do not use cement nor cut down trees, the land is our teacher and friend. We have very basic amenities in close connection with Gaia, and this is a great help in expanding our modern culture boxes and being with the aliveness of nature without trying to condition or modify her.
