Some reprieve during a life altering event

I’ve started this fundraiser for my dear friend Kathryn and her niece Clair . On sept 16 Will (Kathryn’s brother and Clair’s father ) went into the hospital in New Zealand where he lived , after weeks of being on life support having treatment and so many ups and downs Will succumb to his illness and died of acute liver failure on oct 4. Kathryn , her mother and her sister flew there as soon as he was sent to hospital to be with him. They will all be returning oct 11 th.

Clair will be coming home with Kathryn to join her home and family and to be with her loved ones . Clair is a vivacious young teen with a loving spirit and sweet soul whom has suffered an incredible loss of her father , moving across the world and having to settle into a new normal . Clair has some physical limitations that will require aids and physical therapy here in Canada . Also the process of moving here , setting up guardianship and all new wardrobe for our chilly winters here in Canada .

He died intestate (no will) and didn’t have life insurance so any little bit will help ensure Claire the things she needs as she settles into a whole new country and life without her dad. She’s lived with him her whole life.

My hope is to help this situation the best we can , we cannot bring Will back but I would love to be able to help with some of the financial stresses this family has and will continue to have thank you all so much !
