Somali Bantu Women & Children Farm & Market
Our Somali Bantu Women and Children Empowering Center located in Utica, New York created a connection between the Agrarian Cultural Somali Bantu traditions and our present-day community.
We had our first full growing season on the farm in 2020 growing maize corn, okra, tomatoes, squash, peppers, and much more. With our growing success, we started a Community Market on Bleecker Street at the Somali Bantu Women and Children Center where we are in the process of becoming a SNAP-EBT eligible market, giving access to food for all within our community and neighborhood.
The Community Farm and Market are quite new and we need your help in becoming a permanent fixture in Utica. All proceeds from our page will go directly into the care, education, and development of our Community Farm and Market.
