Solva Skate Park has long been more than just ramps — it’s a place where young people and families come together to stay active, connect, and support one another. But the current facilities are ageing and no longer meet the needs of the growing community that uses them every week. Without investment, we risk losing one of Solva’s few free and inclusive spaces for young people.
We are raising funds to transform the skate park into a safe, modern community hub that everyone can enjoy.
What We Want to Build
With your support, we aim to:
- Replace the old Rhino ramps with a modern concrete skate park and bowl
- Improve soundproofing with new concrete features
- Create greener, cleaner community surroundings
- Add spaces for younger children and families
- Support local events, workshops, and youth activities
- Encourage healthy outdoor activity and mental wellbeing
- Create an inclusive outdoor learning space for local educators
This project is about more than skating. It’s about creating opportunities for young people, strengthening the community, and building a space where confidence, creativity, and friendships can grow.
Why This Matters?
Small communities like Solva often have very few free spaces where young people can safely socialise, exercise, and feel included.
A revitalised Solva Skate Park would:
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all ages
- Encourage positive community engagement
- Support physical and mental wellbeing
- Bring families and residents together
- Create opportunities for events and local fundraising
- Attract visitors and support local businesses
Every contribution, big or small, will help make this vision a reality.
Please donate and share if you can.
