We have been planning this GoFundMe to upgrade our community center and after our mural was vandalized yesterday we are doing a big push to strengthen our space so we may thrive through this pandemic.
Soltree Alchemy is rooted in community and healing. We love our West Oakland neighborhood and share an abundance of nutritious food, holistic medicine, and love with anyone & everyone who comes by.
Owned and operated by two women of color with the mission to encourage healthy lifestyles, we start with the people in our immediate community located in a food desert. We believe that everyone deserves good health, love, and vibrancy especially in a predominantly low-income Black and Latino community.
Before COVID, Soltree Alchemy was thriving from hosting events celebrating local musicians, poets, holistic healing classes and pop-up cafe days. Since we cannot host events in our space until the pandemic is over, we are shifting our business to being focused on serving plant based organic food and selling natural medicine. We need to make some changes to the space so we can open back up!
What are we using donations for?
We get to upgrade our kitchen, hire a an electrician, finish our city/state permits, build an herbal makerspace, increase security by installing cameras, install a new mural on our gates (with anti-graffiti paint), and a downpayment on a van so we can distribute free organic produce to our community.
