My name is Rabieh Krayem, and I am the President of Wynnum Wolves FC in Brisbane, as well as Deputy Chairman of Solomon Kings FC, who proudly compete in the OFC Pro League. I wanted to reach out personally to share a heartfelt message and ask for your support.
Having experienced first-hand the devastation brought by natural disasters—cyclone Alfred in 2025 and the Brisbane flood in 2022—I know all too well the challenges such events bring. Wynnum Wolves FC overcame these difficult times thanks not only to the assistance from all three levels of government, but most importantly, from the unwavering support of our local community, and particularly our football family. Financial help was crucial, but it was the community’s hands-on effort and spirit during the clean-up that truly enabled us to get back on our feet.
Now, we find ourselves in a position to help others. Our friends in the Solomon Islands are facing the aftermath of Cyclone Maila, and they need our support to recover. Solomon Kings FC has united the nation—football in the Solomons is more than just a sport; it is what brings people together, offering hope and opportunity to young boys and girls dreaming of a career in the game.
We are calling on the business community and the wider football community to help raise much-needed funds for families impacted by Cyclone Maila. We know from experience just how powerful the football community can be when we join forces in times of need. Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping these families recover and rebuild their lives.
Thank you for considering this appeal. Your support will make a real difference, and we are grateful for anything you can contribute to help the Solomon Kings and their community.
Warm regards,
Rabieh Krayem
