Hope and Warmth: Supporting Sickle Cell Warriors in Leeds & Rural Uganda
Hi, my name is Solome, and I am reaching out with a mission close to my heart—one that speaks to resilience, survival, and the power of community.
I am fundraising for people like me, those living with sickle cell disorder in Leeds (UK), as well as children in rural parts of Uganda who are affected by the condition. Sickle cell disorder is a lifelong battle, and for many, extreme weather and inadequate resources make this fight even harder.
❄️ In Leeds, the cold can be relentless, causing painful crises for those with sickle cell. Many individuals struggle to afford winter packages, mattresses, and warm jumpers, all essential for staying healthy during harsh months.
☀️ In rural Uganda, many children lack basic necessities that could protect them from illness. With your generosity, we can provide beddings and mosquito nets, offering them a safer, more comfortable place to rest and reducing the risk of malaria—a serious threat to those with sickle cell.
Your donation, big or small, will bring warmth, comfort, and hope to sickle cell warriors who deserve care and dignity.
Every contribution makes a difference. Let’s stand together, extend our hands in kindness, and show these communities that they are not alone in this journey.
Thank you for believing in this cause and helping bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
...Because everyone deserves a life without pain
