Solidarity with Terrance Ware

Donation protected
We are reaching out with the belief that community and collective efforts can be healing and are a necessity during strenuous and difficult times. For the past year, our good friend Terrance Ware has been in prison and is currently fighting his way through a broken and unjust system in attempts to secure his freedom.

Terrance is a dedicated and determined person who has pushed through many obstacles to achieve important things. In 2016, Terrance became the first the Black Student Body President in the history of Santa Monica College. He has always been involved in community and activist work because he sincerely believes in upholding and caring for his community. He has always tried his best to be a good role model for those around him, especially for his five younger siblings. He is a caring friend who is always there to help others when they are in need. Terrance has always known how to keep a positive attitude and radiates that positivity to others.

Terrance has also always had a strong relationship with his mothers, who are also currently doing all they can to support him through this hardship. This situation has also had a great impact on Terrance’s family, who has been working tirelessly for the past year to navigate a difficult and impersonal justice system that often leaves people feeling hopeless.

In these circumstances and in addition to legal fees, basic necessities such as food, hygiene materials, and the knowledge that there is a community supporting them, can be essential for people trying to stay afloat through this difficult situation.

We are asking for help from the community in gathering funds in support of Terrance and his family. Any support that is given, no matter how small, will help us keep hope alive in this difficult situation. Any and all consideration would be greatly appreciated and we appreciate your solidarity standing against an unfair and inhumane system of mass incarceration that disproportionately affects many black and brown families today.
