As a grassroots collaboration between local Gazan community activists and international solidarity activists within the vegan community and beyond, Plant the Land has long been dedicated to providing life-sustaining foods and services in a way that respects and sustains all life. Established in 2000 by our vegan activist ally Laura Schleifer and Anas Arafat, a Palestinian lawyer and humanitarian, the team continues to reach those in desperate need right now under the most terrifying conditions imaginable.

Your support of this fundraiser provides food and other provisions for children and families Anas and his team are committed to helping survive, no matter the risk to their own lives. The cost of available staples - when they can access them - is daunting, but our friends are persevering through the threat of starvation with the help of those of us committed to ensuring that they are not forgotten!

Donations to this GoFundMe are received here first in Canada. We are then able to wire transfer all proceeds from our bank directly to Anas, for a a nominal fee. Please know that GFM has exercised due diligence in fully vetting our initiative. And that Anas has continued to provide regular updates, persevering in spite of the devastating loss of beloved family members in the bombing that continues to terrorize and displace surviving relatives.
