Solidarity Fund for Striking Nurses in the Twin Ports
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Corey Cusick and I am Duluth's AFL-CIO Community Services Director.
As hundreds of Minnesota Nurses Association members in the Twin Ports are out on an unfair labor practices strike, they have reached out to Duluth AFL-CIO Community Services to request the establishment of a Strike Assistance Fund.
This fund is being used to help striking Clinic Nurses, Surgery Center Nurses, Hospice professionals, and Advanced Practice Providers who are experiencing financial hardship and will be administered alongside referrals to local community assistance resources. Applications will be vetted by a committee of local MNA members.
I am inviting you to stand in solidarity with our striking nurses and indeed our whole labor community by making a donation today. If you prefer to send a check, please make it out to "AFL-CIO Community Services" with "MNA Strike Fund" in the memo line. If you are looking for more information about MNA or the unfair labor practice strike: https://mnnurses.org/news/press-releases/
Thank you for your consideration, solidarity forever.
