We are raising $5,000 to support Ms. Artist, a young, vibrant Black woman dance artist whose identity is being protected for her safety.

In December, what should have been a simple, much‑needed vacation turned into a frightening and unjust ordeal. While traveling, she was harassed, wrongly accused, and removed from a plane—all without a clear explanation of what she was being accused of. Throughout the incident, she repeatedly asked for information and clarity, yet was met with insult and disrespect.

Weeks later—without any prior notice, phone call, or opportunity to respond—she learned that she was being charged and that an arrest warrant had been issued. This lack of communication has left her blindsided, frightened, and now facing legal consequences for an allegation she still has never been fully informed about.

This fundraiser will help cover current and upcoming legal fees connected to this incident. Ms. Artist is deeply rooted in the community and uses her art to uplift and inspire. Now it’s our turn to stand with her. Every donation, share, and act of solidarity helps protect a Black woman artist and shows that our community stands together.
