Help Provide Kid’s Soccer Shoes & Jerseys

Help raise money to provide soccer shoes, jerseys, and equipment for a group of 14 year old kids and under I recently met while in Lodwar, Kenya on a mission trip.

Early in the morning hours I was walking through an abandoned area with half standing buildings. I noticed a few small children sitting alone in the middle of a broken concrete pad.

Several hours later I returned to see those same kids haven’t moved. I could tell they hadn’t drank or eaten anything all day so I offered them each a soda and asked if they liked soccer.

They quietly answered yes so I decided to give them a soccer ball. You would have thought they hit the lottery by the smiles on their faces.

A week went by and they tell me they have formed a team and have signed up to play in a league. I couldn’t be more proud of them.

Unfortunately, they have little to no money so they are playing in socks, old worn t-shirts, and limited equipment. With other teams having proper uniforms and shoes you can imagine how this can make less fortunate kids feel.
