IS THIS A PICTURE YOU WOULD HANG IN YOUR HOME?
PROBABLY NOT!
However you may drive by a similar picture everyday.
Your help is needed to change this “real life” picture for a local homeless man who had been living under a bridge for 15 years and is now in a treatment center in Northern California. He has connected with a daughter he never knew and is making significant changes to improve his life. He completed an initial 28 days in an ETOH treatment program and followed that up with another 30 days in a sober living facility where he currently resides. We are seeking to finance additional time at the sober living facility which has a monthly rent of $750 which comes due at the end of this month (The donation amount is set at $800 to cover the costs of transaction fees through GoFund Me). He has now been sober for over 8 weeks, the longest period of his adult life, and he has been making great strides in becoming independent. Due to a medical issue it is anticipated that he will qualify for disability and as soon as that goes into effect he will be able to afford his housing without assistance.
Thank you Janet for the write up and support.
