I never thought I would be spending my Five-Oh (50th) Birthday in Shelter in Place, Jobless, Single, and frighten about what the future holds. Just two months ago, I was dreaming-up a fun night at a bar called BARbarella SF.  It was to be an open invitation for all to drop-in and have a drink with me for the BIG one. In mid - March, plans changed due to SIP.   April 15th I lost my just due to a reduction in force, forcing me to reevaluate my spending and what I would do for this birthday. 

In years past, I've donated money to organizations dear to my heart; animal shelters, ocean conservancy, and homeless food banks.  This year, I'd like to ask for your help.

Now that I'm unemployed and without income, I'd like to ask my friends and network to donate money to my FIVE-OH birthday cause.  

Think about how much a round of drinks would cost, then donate that amount! Since we can not toast together, please consider donating the amount of a round of drinks for the below: 

Giving back to the people that help us most! 

1. My two upstairs neighbors are nurses.
Jen is at UCSF and her wife is at CPMC. I'd like to give them both gift-cards. 

2. My local corner store (bodega) S and S Grocery.
They are open everyday and dealing with so many crazy people right now. They live in the back of the shop with their kids, grandparents, and kitty cat who keeps the mice way. I'd love to give her a gift card of 200.00 so she can buy something lovely for herself. 




Any money left over after these items listed above are purchased, I will donate to my favorite animal shelter - SF San Francisco Animal Care & Control
