Ukrainian Family URGENTLY needs our SUPPORT

My daughter is half Ukrainian so the Ukrainian people hold a very special place in our hearts. They are family. We have very precious extended friends who are seriously struggling to survive in Ukraine right now. Perhaps you can help...

For a few years, I have been $ supporting our friend, a beautiful Ukrainian Mama (a highly educated university professor) & her 2 children. I am leaving out some details & NOT including pictures of them for fear of any retaliation towards them. When the war broke out they had to flee far from their home within Ukraine with just a backpack each, leaving everything they had ( including a newly renovated home that they sunk their life savings into) with thousands of others & being held at gunpoint by Russian border patrols.

She has had to move from city to city, in rural areas in freezing cold temperatures trying to find a safe place with wifi in order to maintain her teaching position & feed her family. *She does have an elderly mother & sister with children in another town. Because of her elevated status she was not allowed to leave Ukraine to safety.

In all of this INSANITY she went out of her way to send me Christmas gifts ~ gorgeous warm socks, a scarf, tea ~ I bawled. She has done everything she knows to do to keep her spirits up for her children, and in harrowing conditions further educate herself in her career as well as learning English. We have spoken at length through Google translate; she never complains, yet I know she is stressed beyond words & terrified for her family & the future of their country.

Since Feb 2022 Ukrainian families are living a reality most of us can only imagine. The abject horror of war. Millions of Ukrainians have been displaced & lost everything they have & know. As you know, the political global climate is horrific for so many & getting worse for Ukrainians. The death toll rises with absolutely no regard for innocent civilians with schools, hospitals and neighbourhoods being bombed.

Families have been torn apart, frantic & desperate for food, water, clothing & shelter not to mention electricity, medical supplies & a way of providing for their families. All men over 18 are sent to fight a ridiculous war, trying to defend against a tyrannical, merciless opponent who WILL NOT back down regardless of collateral damage & loss of life.

They need to know the world cares & isn't apathetic to misery brought on by global leaders who very clearly don't. They need US to care. They need other Universal Moms who FEEL their CALL FOR HELP in our bones. They need US. They don't have anyone else.

Our generosity provides her family a VERY LITERAL LIFELINE. Maybe allow them to move to a safer area, warmer lodgings & have MORE & healthier food at the very least. Maybe even get them through this effed up war.

Let's wrap them up in compassion and show them that love WILL WIN. Please donate whatever feels good in your heart! ❤️ ANY amount helps. Cliché? But It's true.
