Hello! My name is Sherena and my husband and I have 9 beautiful blessings. Our last baby Asante got diagnosed with severe RCDH and only had 8% lung volume. I found this out at my 20 week ultrasound. My Dr referred me to Children's Mercy in KC, Mo. They gave me 3 options 2 were he would be born and just pass because he didn't have enough lung tissue to be oxygenated. The 3rd one was to try a procedure called FETO. That's where they go into me to him and put a balloon in his airway so fluid doesn't come out and it stays inside of him to make room for his lungs to be able to grow. That saved his life and his lungs grew to 70%. He is in the NICU in Kansas City, Mo and doing amazing! He still has months in here due to weaning on breathing support and learning how to bottle feed and get the feeding tube from his intestine to his stomach for us to be able to even start that process. With all that going on we have fallen on hard times. Our vehicle that carries all our kids and gets me back n forth to KC to be with him had broke down and we had to get it fixed..making another bill we can't afford. So I am asking for help to get that paid off so we don't have that extra stress added to our monthly bills. It would be a huge stress relief to not have to worry about that with everything else going on and keeping up with our normal monthly bills since my husband is already working 2 jobs.
