Hi everyone,
My name is Maria. I recently got married to my best friend! His name is Joshua and he was born in Peru. His family came to the United States when he was around 5 years old. We got to meet in middle school through mutual friends. He’s grown up here in the Bay Area. We have an almost 3 month old son together and we couldn’t be happier. Only one thing is my husband is SO close to finishing his immigration process. YES IT TAKES THIS LONG. I never understood the process until we got together and it’s just not fair! To have lived here almost your whole life and not have access to things you want to do like get a business license or easily get any job he wants to apply for. HOW can you help us out? Well, he finally gets to file for a green card but his lawyer (that him & his family have been working with for years) has stated it’ll cost 1700 just for application fees!! just to get started filing the paperwork, then they continue working with her for more steps in the process. This doesn’t get him citizenship yet as we have a long road ahead but This is expensive and so worth it so he can finally have some sense of freedom. With a newborn, it’s tough financially so I am reaching out to the community to help us out in this time of need. With his birthday coming up, I wish nothing more than to give my husband the gift of peace & sanity to be able to stay here with his family! I never ask for much but this is something I’m asking from my community. Please help out! I’ll forever be grateful. ❤️
