Snyder Family: Being the Church

I am not one who would typically do this, and I do know Whitley and her family would not typically agree to this. With that said, I have known Whitley for almost 12 years. I met her when I was a single mom and we both were trying to navigate what that meant. Whitley gave me the strength to push through hard times. It has been a joy watching her grow and love on her family. Whitley has a HUGE heart. This past Christmas, she helped raise money for my family when my husband was unable to work and I have been a stay-at-home mom. I'm so thankful that she was able to do so anonymously because I did not want people to know we were struggling. Whitley has time and time again given her time, talent, resources, finances, and energy into loving me and my family well. We may not be out of the woods ourselves, but I hope this would help her family a bit with what they have going on.
Whitley was in a vehicle accident in February. Thankfully, she and Kinzley were not hurt more. The accident was pretty rough for Whitley. She has been in physical therapy since February and has been continuing to work through pain she isn't talking much about. She and her family also have had a very hard time since December when their identity was stolen along with funds. Whitley was also a part-time caregiver to her grandmother and even moved them into their own home so she could help her mom take care of her. Sadly, her grandmother passed after a very short battle with cancer. Whitley was there to help care for her moments after that.
Whitley is one of the most sacrificial women I know. She is always giving and always willing to lend anything to anyone if she has it. Whitley's husband Josh is willing to give the shirt off his back and help at the drop of a hat. Their children are so loving and kind. The Snyders even opened their home in August to have an exchange student. This student has become an additional daughter for Whitley to love. Whitley also loves a young woman named Billie who she speaks of as her own daughter.
I can go on and on, but one thing I do know is I felt called to do something. With Whitley's permission, I wanted to help take the burden off of them for a month like she did for us. Plus, allow them to have some extra with their wedding anniversary being May 21. Whitley will be going into surgery Friday, May 23, and will be off work for a time. Let's bless the Snyder family!
