Hello,

So this is us..... Chelle and Bethany.

We are both doing a Charity Skydive this August in memory of Baby Leo and Baby Alfie.

Leo was born 8/12/2012 sadly still born at 37 weeks with Kieron's previous girlfriend when he was 15yrs old, Leo was healthy thru the pregnancy but unfortunately due to complications he was born sleeping. Such a horrible time for us all.

Our little Alfie Teddy Lee was born 22/4/24 weighing 960grms
Alfie was born with the gene deficiency HNFB1 which affects the kidneys and heart.

Alfie was born with 1 kidney which only worked 10%, he was also born with a heart defects and also liver problems which gave him so many stomach infections it was hard to put the weight on due to nil by mouth.

We knew that we needed Alfie to put weight on so he could reach the dialysis stage but after Alfie having a strong fight after 9wks he was moved from Derriford to Bristol St Michaels hospital.

There the team were fantastic, but after 3wks of lots of complications Alfie suffered a bleed on the brain and sadly Kieron and Beth had to make the horrible decision to turn off his machines on the 13/7/24

Our boy was a little super hero from start to finish. His strength was outstanding.

Please help us to raise £2000 which will go towards the Snowdrop Appeal, a Specialist Bereavement Unit for Still Born and Early Baby Loss at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

The Appeal begun in 2009 when Jen & Greg Phillips lost their daughter Jasmine at 32 weeks. From their loss, they have managed to raise almost £248,000 which was matched by the Hospital and eventually ended up with the opening of the New Snowdrop Suite in 2023.

The New Suite is a Specialised Dedicated Unit designed specifically for Still Birth and Early Baby Loss. The Appeal also helped to fund and introduce Two Specialist Bereavement Midwives, as well as a large array of dedicated equipment, Cuddle Cots and more.

There are so many individuals and businesses to thank for supporting the Appeal and helping it get to where it is today. We couldn't even begin to thank and mention so many people, but our heart felt gratitude is given to everyone who has made this happen.

In the near future, we hope to raise more funds to develop a specialist private garden and rest area that is adjoined to the new suite.

If you would like to see the video and listen to Greg and Jens journey, you can watch this in the following video. This also shows the New Snowdrop Suite as it is today.
