Fundraising for Park Lane School - Snowdon Trail Marathon

Hello and thank you for reading my GoFundMe page. My name's Tom and I'm going to be running the Xterra Snowdon Trail Marathon in July to raise money for Park Lane School in Aberdare. The marathon encompasses a 26 mile trail running route around Snowdon, including summiting the mountain, before finally scrambling back down to the finish line.

Park Lane School is a specialised school that serves the Cynon Valley, catering for pupil’s aged 4-19 with a diverse range of ability and needs. Park Lane creates a safe and caring environment to enable its learners to grow into happy and confident individuals, supporting with each child’s unique needs.

I'm hoping to raise money for Park Lane School to enable them to keep providing new opportunities for the children to support their development and experiences.

Park Lane School is special to me, not just because of the incredible work they do, but also because of the personal connection I have to it. My mam has always wanted to work with children and recently made the brave move to change a longstanding , stable career to start from scratch to train as a teaching assistant. She now works at this wonderful school assisting children with additional learning needs. As a family we are all incredibly proud of her and the positive impact she has made to the school and the children she works with.
