Climbing Snowdon to Support Oakley School

This May we’re taking on a big challenge as a group of family and friends: we’re going to use a specialist wheelchair to push our disabled daughter to the top of Mount Snowdon. We’re doing this to give her an unforgettable experience and to show her she deserves every adventure life has to offer.

We also wanted this challenge to mean something bigger. Our daughter attends Oakley School in Pembury, and the support, care, and encouragement she receives there is incredible. The staff work so hard to give every child the chance to thrive, and we’d love to give something back.

Why we’re raising money -

- To cover the cost of a specialist all terrain wheelchair to push her up the mountain. (£500)

All further donations will go straight to Oakley School to help them continue doing what they do best. The school is looking to build a new playground area or the money could support:

Why Snowdon?

Our daughter faces daily challenges, but she’s full of determination and joy. Getting her to the top of Snowdon feels like a way of celebrating her strength — and showing her that nothing is off‑limits.

Darcie has developed a deep love of camping and the outdoors because of the amazing support shown to her by the St Barnabus (Pathfinder) Cubs in Tumbridge Wells. They are hugely inclusive and have pulled out all the stops for her.
