Hi, I’m Brylee and my Nana lives in Berehill Care home, Whitchurch and between the 24th-30th of August, I am climbing Crib Goch on Wales’ biggest mountain, Snowdon, to raise money to the care home. For those who don’t know, Crib goch is a grade 1 scramble, meaning you can’t walk it and it’s a knife edge climb. It has an elevation of 923m (3,028 ft). Back to the care home, with an exceptional rating for their care by Care Inspectorate UK, this money will go towards providing more opportunities and services for the residents, new activities and better facilities around both the care home and nursing home on site. My nana was diagnosed with dementia in 2020 and since being in berehill she has received outstanding care, had many activities and has even been greeted by some weird and wonderful creatures. The staff at berehill are always welcoming, providing person centred care and make sure all residents are happy and safe. So to give back I have set up a go fund me to help make these future opportunities happen and give the residents an even more better quality of life.
