Your generous donation will be used to purchase snow removal equipment for the community outdoor rink at Eastvale Park in Beacon Hill North, a community in Ottawa East. A new, heavy duty snowblower is needed that will help rink volunteers clear two large ice surfaces.

Community families, individuals and teams use the ice surfaces for leisure skating and pickup hockey, etc. The local middle school also holds its skating program on the surface each winter seeing many kids learn to skate, get exercise and fresh air, and spend less time on mobile devices. The rink gets much use during the season but snow removal is heavy work even with a snowblower. A new machine will help us keep the rink clear and open for skating and help attract and keep volunteers.
