I'm raising money to help one of my Afghan mentees apply to renew immigration documents on behalf of her older parents. Under the current administration, the filing fees keep going up as do various risks. Although her parents may qualify for fee waivers, we were told that pursuing that option may increase their chances of receiving a denial or could possibly harm them when they apply for future immigration remedies. My mentee holds two jobs and attends school. She carries the majority of the financial burden for her family and helping her in this way will allow her to remain in school and give her parents the best opportunity to get their document renewal paperwork accepted (so that they have valid identification.) All funds raised in this fundraiser will go directly to the fees of her parents' current renewal application. Thank you in advance for any donation- every little bit helps!
