No mother ever wants to see their child struggle and as a sister and aunt, I do not wish to see that as well for my own family. Luke and Michelle Dachowski, my brother-in-law and sister, unexpectedly welcomed their little boy, Rylan Michael, 10 weeks early on June 29th. After the whirlwind of a day, Rylan was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital NICU where he will grow and fight for the next few months.

Though little Rylan is doing well, no NICU journey is easy. Between tests and scans, a rollercoaster of emotions, recovering physically from an emergency C-section, the journey to becoming first-time parents has been anything but easy for Luke and Michelle. This was not what they had in mind for themselves or their little bundle of joy but they are strong even if they do not feel it.
