Our dear friend Miguel Ventura has been an incredible husband, father, and member of our community for over 20 years. Sadly, after living in the United States for most of his life, he was recently deported to El Salvador — a country he hasn’t called home since he was a teenager.
Miguel came to the U.S. seeking safety and a better future. Over the years, he built a life filled with love, hard work, and family. He and his wife, Shteffany, have raised their 12 year old daughter Sophia here, teaching her the values of kindness, perseverance, and compassion. He has always worked tirelessly to support his family and contribute to his community.
But everything changed on June 11, 2025, when Miguel was detained by immigration authorities on his way to work. After spending four difficult months in detention, he was deported to El Salvador, a country he hasn’t lived in since his youth.
Now, everything has been turned upside down. His deportation has left his wife and daughter heartbroken and struggling to adjust to life without him. They face a serious unimaginable challenge of being separated from the man who is the center of their lives, leaving them to face financial and emotional hardship. — a mother trying to keep things together for her child, and a little girl missing her father every single day.
Meanwhile, Miguel is in El Salvador, doing his best to survive while searching for a stable home, food, and basic necessities.
Miguel is one of the kindest people I know — always working hard, always putting his family and others before himself. It’s devastating to see his family suffer like this, and I want to do everything possible to help them stay strong and, one day, be together again. Let’s come together to support him and his family in this time of deep need and help reunite them once again.
This fundraiser is to help Miguel and his family through this heartbreaking time. Donations will go toward:
Legal and immigration costs as they explore every possible option to reunite the family
Travel and communication expenses so his family can stay in touch
Living expenses for his wife and daughter here in the U.S.
Support for Miguel in El Salvador so he can meet basic needs while separated from his loved ones
If you can, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help this family through an incredibly painful time. Your support — no matter the amount — will mean the world to them.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers for Miguel and his family.
