My name is Adam Carter, and for more than 15 years I have raised and delivered funds to support vulnerable communities around the world. In 2009, I founded Cause & Affect Foundation, a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) humanitarian organization focused on delivering micro-grants to well-run community projects, families, and individuals in need.

Through Cause & Affect, I’ve helped implement small but powerful grants across Central America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America, always prioritizing transparency, dignity, and direct impact. Over the past decade and a half, I’ve seen how modest financial support—given at the right moment—can transform a life, launch a livelihood, or help a family survive a crisis.

I hold a Master’s Degree in International Development, and I’ve spent years working directly in the field, partnering with local leaders, NGOs, and grassroots initiatives. I have also traveled to India six times, gaining firsthand understanding of its communities, culture, and the complex challenges faced by residents of places like Dharavi.

For this initiative, I am partnering with an experienced local social worker who has spent years working inside the Dharavi slum, supporting families and advocating for vulnerable individuals. Together, our goal is to ensure that every single dollar donated is used with care, cultural awareness, and maximum impact—going directly to people who need urgent support and have no safety net.
