On 12/9/25, my sister Savanna Sloan — a loving, devoted mother to her 5 beautiful boys (2 with their father, aged 10 and 5), and single mom of 3, now with her family(aged 4, 2, and 1) — was the victim of a senseless shooting. The bullet caused devastating injuries, including a severe stroke, a broken jaw, artery damage in the left side of her neck, and traumatic brain damage that required an emergency craniotomy to relieve pressure on her brain.

She is now facing a long and uncertain recovery. Doctors have warned us of possible permanent paralysis in her right arm and aphasia (difficulty speaking and communicating). Every day in the ICU brings new challenges, medical bills, and heartbreaking moments as we try to explain to her little ones why Mommy can't come home yet.

As a single mom, she was the sole provider and caregiver for her babies. With her unable to work or care for them, our family is stretched beyond our limits trying to cover:

Mounting hospital and rehabilitation costs

Specialized therapy for speech and mobility

Child therapy, diapers, food, and basic living expenses

Future surgeries and adaptive equipment she may need.

We are heartbroken and exhausted, but determined to give her and her children the support they deserve during this nightmare. Any contribution — no matter how small — will help ease the financial burden so we can focus on her healing and keeping her kids safe, fed, and loved.
