Sligo Housing Action Group

We set up Sligo Housing Action in 2021 as a call to action to help solve the shortage of affordable housing in Ireland otherwise known as the “housing crisis”. We are a community-based registered organisation trying to change lives for the better. Our mission is to ensure nobody is on the streets and everyone has an affordable, warm, and secure roof over their heads. As part of our campaign, we are looking to regenerate our community by buying vacant/derelict houses to renovate to living standards. There are currently 51 homeless people in Sligo and that number is rising. We have been putting our own money towards setting up this organisation but we could do with a head start to get our mission started. We are an organisation who are willing to help people, who would like to get started quickly and bring down the homelessness figures. If you would like to help fundraise for us we would be so grateful to hear from you. So far the donations have been slow but we appreciate any given to us. From €5 or larger, it all helps.
