Music Saves Lives - STECxHATW

Lauren (@lmbookbinding) and Briegh (@metalmusemedia), creators and organizers of the Sleep Token Epistolary Collection fan project, are excited to announce that we will be supporting Heads Above the Waves in a charitable fundraising opportunity! Heads Above the Waves is a non-profit mental health and Community Interest Organization based in Cardiff, Wales. They work to raise awareness of depression and self-harm in young people, and promote creative ways of dealing with the bad days.

With so many requests for donations to help with the creation of these fan letter books, we wanted to use this opportunity to make a positive impact in the community local to our favorite band. It was essential that the organization we chose to support was focused on bringing awareness to two areas that have had a massive impact in our lives, and the lives of so many of the Sleep Token fans - music and mental health. Through recommendations from our contacts in the area, we were introduced to Heads Above the Waves, and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect pairing. We love and support everything that this organization stands for, and we hope that you do as well. Music can save lives, and this organization works everyday to support that in their community.

This fundraiser was created and set up by us, and we reached out and contacted Heads Above the Waves, asking if we could work with them for this project because of what they stand for and its alignment with our goals and values. We want to clarify that this fundraiser is not being run in association with, or endorsed by, the band or its management. Heads Above the Waves is a Community Interest Company (CIC) - a special type of limited company which exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders. So, not a registered charity, just an organization looking to help people find ways to get through the bad days. All donations received will go to supporting Heads Above the Waves.

We will be accepting donations through November 1, 2024.

As a thank you for donating to this project, all donors who have also submitted a letter/fan art for the Epistolary Collection will have their name include on a list a donors in the book. In addition, we are offering a special thank you gift to those who meet the below donation tiers:
